About Us
Dancescape by Joyce on Broadway is a school for the arts. We offer group instruction in the dance arts: ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip hop, contemparary and musical theater dance. Joyce Beck established Dancescape by Joyce in 1993 at 2014 East Broadway in Pearland. Previously the school was known as Joyce’s Academy of Dance and was located in Friendswood, Texas, from 1984 through 1993. All of the dancers who train at Dancescape gain poise and self-confidence that will help them to be successful in all their future endeavors. Ms Joyce is a member of Dance Masters of America. After 40 years with South Texas Association of Dance Teachers, Inc. Ms Joyce and her faculty transfered our membership to Texas Dance Masters Inc. / Chapter #48. Miss Teen Dance of Texas 2014, Miss Dance of Texas 2015, Mr. Teen Dance of Texas 2016 , Miss Dance of Texas 2017, Junior Miss Dance of Texas 2018, Mr. Dance of Texas 2018, Mr. Dance of America 2019, Miss Dance of Texas 2019 and Teen Miss Dance of Texas 2020, Mr Dance of TXDM 2024 and Teen Miss Dance of TXDM 2024 are students from Dancescape by Joyce.
At Dancescape by Joyce, we have quality instructors and believe that every child should be challenged and encouraged to achieve his/her goals. We have a ballet-based studio with emphasis on classical ballet and positive reinforcement. We want our dancers to have fun while learning in a structured nurturing environment.
